Sterling Manufacturing creates custom, quality, precision-molded
thermoplastic components . . . from concept to finished product.
Prior to going on-line, new molds are checked carefully and
first shots undergo rigid examination. Our tooling experts are always ready to make mold changes or other improvements without
production delays.
Our 24 injection molding machines range from 17 to 700 ton clamp,
and carry the most reliable, respected and innovative names in the business; Arburg and Cincinnati-Milicron. (A complete,
current, detailed listing of our molding machines, and auxiliary, assembly and tool room equipment can be found in the front
of this brochure.)
Because we employ several different size presses, we can easily
match press capacity to a variety of precision requirements, from 1/10th of a gram to 10 pounds. Two examples: A tiny micrometer
gear that has an overall diameter of .137"/.004" to a 6 pound computer keyboard.
After each run all molds are inspected and cleaned. Worn parts
are replaced and your mold is safe-guarded for future use and immediate scheduling.
For efficiency and economy, we're equipped to handle jobs which
require semi-automation, preliminary sorting for quality control and/or finishing, robotics, and total machine automation.

SPECIALIZED FINISHING
Secondary finishing operations include decorative hot stamping,
ultra-sonic welding, ultra-sonic insertion, milling, the application of tapes and static neutralization, intricate component
assembly, and packaging. We can provide you with component sub-assemblies or finished pieces.
