Maintenance Technician

Ideal candidate should have:

5 years+ hands-on experience maintaining modern injection molding equipment

Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

An ongoing focus on safety procedures

Familiarity with Engel, Arburg and Cincinnati injection molding machines, both hydraulic and electric

Understanding of auxiliary equipment including die heaters, dryers, grinders, etc.

Knowledge of plant systems including modern compressors, HVAC, chillers, plumbing, etc.

Experience with secondary operation equipment including pad printers, heat inserters, hot stampers, sonic welders, etc.

Experience with high speed, servo-driven automation a plus

 

Responsibilities Include:

Complete daily, weekly, monthly PM on all required equipment

Proactively manage PM schedule and document PM activities in IQMS

Perform technical analysis to repair equipment and solve facility related issues that may compromise production, safety or quality goals

Work with production personnel to continuously improve operational efficiency and productivity

Diagnose machine problems and take appropriate corrective action on injection molding machines, auxiliary/secondary equipment and automation cells

Maintain thorough records of maintenance on equipment as required

Ensure all tasks are completed following appropriate safety procedures

Support building and ground maintenance as required

Perform speedy screw and barrel changeovers

Assist with new equipment installation and ongoing troubleshooting

Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement
