Sterling is a vertically integrated injection molding solutions partner in the consumer product, healthcare and defense industries. Sterling supports the entire product lifecycle, with rapid prototyping, tool development, validation, production molding and automated secondary operations.

Our History

Founded in 1968, Sterling supported OEMs in the healthcare, aviation and industrial fields and established a brand synonymous with excellent customer service. Sterling was acquired in 2011 by an experienced management team that had previously operated a highly successful consumer and medical product molding company before selling it in 2008. Since 2011, Sterling’s focus has been on consumer products and the healthcare and defense industries.

Sterling offers precision injection molding, 3D printing, dedicated engineering, tool development, and a full range of value-added services. Sterling’s numerous secondary operation capabilities provide OEMs and consumers with products that not only function to specification but are also attractive and tastefully branded. For companies looking to improve supply chain efficiency or consolidate vendors, Sterling’s value-add operations make us a “one-stop shop.”

Our Facility

Sterling is equipped with 20 injection molding machines, including 9 added since 2015. Production molding machines are 2 years old on average. Our facility is a completely controlled environment, with a recently expanded ISO Class 8 cleanroom. We have a wide range of press tonnage—28-550 ton with plans to expand—and are committed to continuous reinvestment in operations, with $2 million recently invested in upgrading our cleanroom and purchasing new machines.
